Who We Are as an Employer

Lech Bergbahnen AG was formed through the merger of Skilifte Lech Ing. Bildstein GmbH, Rüfikopf Seilbahn AG, and Rud-Alpe GmbH. The company now includes 14 cable car systems as well as four mountain restaurants (Balmalp, Rud-Alpe, Rüfikopf Panoramic Restaurant, and Schlegelkopf Restaurant) and the Mila bistro in the center of Lech. We employ around 240 people in winter and approximately 100 in summer, including 70 yearound staff.

We offer our employees a range of accommodation options. A new team house with 40 rooms and a manager’s apartment is currently being completed in the Zug district. Three additional staff houses are located near the base station of the Zugerberg cable car. The rest of our team is housed centrally in Lech. In the coming years, we plan to continue investing in renovations and new buildings to provide comfortable and well-maintained living spaces for our staff.

Outside of our two-week company holiday, meals are provided three times a day. Our main staff canteen is located in Lech and is open for all three meals during the winter season. In summer and the off-season, it operates on weekdays for breakfast and dinner. During these periods, employees are also served at Bistro Mila on Rüfiplatz. For those working on the mountain, there’s the option to take meals for heating up in the microwave.

All employees receive high-quality team clothing – we know how important proper, functional, and warm gear is in our environment.

To connect with colleagues from across departments, we regularly organize company events such as our annual outing, barbecue, and our Christmas and spring parties.
